8* degrees is what i got mine at, read the sig see if you would like that.

motown 04-07-2010 09:22 PM

8 what do mean 8 over stock your 96 and my 97 r timed diffrent i think mines like 14.5 stock that would be 22.5 that seems like a lot

justinb12 04-07-2010 09:49 PM

$h!t man i'm not sure I tought it was 8* in total but it doesn't sound right now that you mention it. Maybe it was set at 16. Seems like i'd remember that. I'll let you know.

diesel pap 04-07-2010 10:05 PM

mine is 26 degs. it depends on your set up

Shea@L&N Performance 04-07-2010 10:31 PM

id say around 15.5-17 to be safe without studs

motown 04-14-2010 10:36 AM

what will i gain by adv. my timeing

Shea@L&N Performance 04-14-2010 11:00 AM

Mileage, some seat of the pants power, truck will run much smoother

FastCR 04-14-2010 11:13 AM

16.5 seems to be accepted as safe without studs. You get less EGT, more power, more nox i think, and increased cylinder pressure.

ok i'm going out right now to find tdc and mark my dampner:tu:
