Default Timing Trouble

Timing keeps slipping. Its held for 6 months then I adjusted it for new turbo and it wont hold, I've torqued to 155ft-lbs the first 2 times it slipped and this time I torqued to around 170-175ft-lbs and I think it slipped again on saturday. Haven't got to check it for sure yet but I think it did.

Anyone know what I could do to get it to hold timing??

Alright i'll try that. Is it possible to pull or stretch the threads on the nut, cuz they seem to be pretty mean deep threads? I;ve replaced the lock washer cause mine was completely flat and doing no good.

yes you can stretch the threads on the nut. If you think yours may be then buy a new nut there 8 bucks, its way better than stripping the threads off the nut while on the shaft.

Just checked the timing and its still perfect no slip or anything. Long crank before finally starting it kinda pops thru the intake I thought it might be a stuck valve or push rod broke pulled valve covers and started it again and everything is working perfect.

Would a bad overflow valve on the pump cause this to happen??

No sir i haven't i'm gonna check fuel pressure in the morning if i can find the right shrater valve. I just had my DDP injectors rebuilt 7 months ago cause one stuck open not that that means theres nothing wrong there.

To check my injectors just pull them and do a pop test correct??

I got it set at 6mm of lift and its a '98 215hp pump so its almost to 19* if the info I got was correct. Didn't get injectors or fuel pressure checked yet gonna try a overflow valve out of my buddies truck to see if that might help it?
