check for fuel leaks before you swap the overflow, check the fuel heater and the fuel filter to make sure your not getting air into your fuel system

Checked everything out its not the overflow. Its knocking back into the air box so I think I bent a pushrod or broke a valve spring cuz theres no leaks anywhere and absolutely no smoke at idle so I think I bent something.

When I first put my cam in my truck did the same thing. it turned out I had my intake valves set to tight. Check both your intake and exhaust valve lash should be .010 on the intake and .020 on the exhaust. The motor must be stone cold when you check and set the valve lash.

Yes sir I'll check them first thing in the morning. When it started this whole ordeal it was right after I got on it pretty dam hard like from 45 to 90mph pull in 5th gear and spike 50lbs of boost. But i'll definately check valve lash.

94 12valve i appreciate your continuos info and help. Hopefully i'll get it figured out in the morning i'll update with info i learn. thanx!

I still haven't got to check them yet i've been busy as all get out and haven't got a chance but i'm fixing to check them here in just a bit. Will update this afternoon with the news.

Adjusted valves checked push rods and valve springs everything is good there and it didn't change anything it still pops and sounds like its missing. Idk what else to check, any ideas??

Is there any smoke? Does it always miss? Does it miss under load? Does it miss at or above a certain rpm? It could be a stuck plunger.

No smoke at all. It misses at idle and when i raise the idle its still missing and popping just not as noticeable. But there is absolutely no smoke and thats what is making no sense to me. Tomorrow i'm gonna use the plug on the side of the pump that has that "duck bill" part on it and check the actual pump timing. Is there a way to check if its a stuck plunger??

The timing pin in the pump itself will tell you where the timing was set at factory. To check the sticking plunger crack your injection line one at a time until you find one that makes no change.

I cracked all the fuel lines at the injectors and they all make a difference. But shold i try it on the pump to see if theres any difference there? So using the pin on the side of the pump won't work since i've adjusted timing correct?
