And higher egts cause more heat and engine catostrophy. Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification

Not necessarily, it's just a balancing act you have to perform to get the most air/fuel through the head in the most efficient way possible to achieve the highest power - if you want to do it safely.

Lots of guys program commonrails to run way into the EGT red zone for a few seconds at a time down the quarter mile with tons more fuel than their turbos can safely handle sustained and get away with it. It's just a matter of what you want to do with the truck.

its all a science...... mine runs 38psi on the HX35 right now..... its getting a 68mm and im going to try to keep it around 40 unless i need more...... gauges are your friend in tuning these things....... i have tuned mine 30+ times.....

yea seems like every couple weeks im tuning mine diff 2

the boost drop was good because that boost is already to high for the stock turbo. your just overspooling it and are gunna ruin it

So with all of the air flow room it's like the turbo is the air commpersor and the air to air and the air horn are the air tank (hypothetically) More air room for the turbo to spool up and fill/ pressurize. Now does that mean less stress and quicker spooling of the turbo?

Generally the more volume you have to fill, the greater the delay in turbo (aka turbo lag).
