Default afc air line...?

Alright ive got a 1997 12v with the 215 pump on it. i was out swappin fuel plates and noticed one of the air lines is not hooked up. Ok the one air line has the boost fitting on it and goes to the turbo. the other is right next to it and goes under the intake horn and into a 1/8" npt fitting. well i took the fitting out of the intake and it has a little plastc block off in it. so my question is is this where the afc gets its air from and with out it bein hooked up itns not working properly right? thanks any help would be appreiciated.

here is a picture. the line that is just there not hooked up to anythin is the one in question... does it need to be hooked into the intake or what?

Just for youralls info, i hooked the line up to the boost fitting and yes it does need to be hooked up to work, otherwise you will never be on your fuel plate, with now boost line coming in you will get all your fueling from the afc alone and none on the plate. Soon as i hooked it up and drove it it was night and day difference. fuels so hard now the turbo cant even come close to clearing it up also my boost hit over 40 real fast so im gonna have to look into that problem.....

i would be willin to bet its the same. and if you dont have a boost line feeding your afc it will never fuel hard on the plate. i am serious when i say just hooking up that line i have unleashed a monster.... this thing is wicked set up with the 100 plate 3/4 forward so much that i am gonna have to detune it and slide the plate forward it is way to much fuel and power i just know it will pop my hg or blow through my clutch.
