Default input shaft

how much will it hold i hhave a 94 cummins fuel plate ground and moved all the way, 370 injectors and 16' degree advance and 4 k governor spring kit and in take and exhaust i but a triple disk and a suncoast vb and a alto red egale rebuild kit. and its just a every day truck

i believe hes talking about an automatic transmission. considering hes talking about a triple disc converter valve bodies etc.

i cant answer your question on how much power itll hold. but helpfully ill stop the thread from taking off on manual trannys

your input shafts longevity is dependent on ur foot. they can break at stock HP ratings and some get lucky and they hold mid range power. If you plan on modding farther than those id recommend an input shaft but if ur just going to leave it alone you might be ok for a long time. But remember boosted launches are not stock input shafts friends.

Triple disk converters eat stock input shafts alive.

i know i have a standard but i have yet to break an input shaft no matter what i do. and i do alot. but i do have a problem with third gear. just got another 300 bucks shot down for third gear.

Well the problem is when they lock they lock hard and they lock like right now. The shock load usually cracks them and then it spreads and rips all the slpines off. They sound like a shotgun going off in the cab when it happens.
