Default Best Place To Get Transmission Parts For NV4500?

I shredded another input shaft again. I've got a great clutch i'm just having mostly issues holding input shafts and from what i understand, they do make my clutch (South Bend Con FE, 550hp/1100 lb/ft rated) in both stock shaft and large upgraded shaft versions. I don't have that many miles on the clutch and its in good shape so i want to keep it, i'm very happy with it (and for a $1k i should be) but I need a stronger shaft. Does anyone make and sell a billet shaft or something stronger than a stock shaft that will still be stock size so i don't have to get rid of my clutch and spend a lot more money? I'm dyno'd at 428 RWHP and 1,081 ft./lbs at rear wheels... 96 12V 215hp P7100
I need to get this thing fixed soon but i don't have the money to fix and wouldn't know where to spend it when i do have money!!! So I need to do my research now!!! The local transmission shops have proven to be a F'ing JOKE!!!

Thanks in advance,
Eric

Call Peter at southbend and see if he can change the hub out to accept the larger input shaft. If you have broke two already you will keep breaking them, how are you breaking them by the way?

Ok so.... i wound up with a "BUILT TO THE HILT" NV4500 rebuild and a Haisley dual disc button clutch (their "Street/Drag") and this tranny lasted a whopping 2 days and 400 miles

My countershaft is screwed up hardcore... 3rd gear is GONE... and here's the part that gets me, i've been goin relatively easy on it and its been wet/icy out and my tires are bald, haven't even had it in 4wd either so i can't have been puttin too much strain on it.... i'm thoroughly pissed!!!!!!!!

So, who REALLY builds a honest to go BULLETPROOF NV4500??? This one has all the big boy parts, 1 3/8" input, cast iron extension, brass synchros, etc etc.... i'm seriously pissed off.... and very upset and mad and aggravated and ......

SORRY I HAD TO FREAKIN VENT.........

Bummer.....but now you've learned what 1,000 lb/ft of torque is capable of under 3000RPM.

Did you buy through Blumenthal? Just wondering....

yea about 1300 lb/ft at the crank, which is what's goin through the tranny.. at any rate, i know its alot of stress but i know guys with at least as much power as me runnin big tires and the same tranny (actually one has a 1 1/4" shaft with some upgraded parts and a South Bend Con OFE single disc) and they abuse theirs alot harder and hold up to more...

I don't know where the parts came from but its just a guy i know thats supposed to know what he's doin... not confident in that just yet.........
