Support brackets? There aren't any support brackets that I've noticed on the mirrors I want.. they just come straight out as far as I know :scratches head:

The part #'s are as follows if you get them from Dodge:
55156129AB; 55156128AB
They go on the inside of the door where the mirror is bolted on to give additional support to the sheet metal from the added weight of the mirrors...

The support brackets go inside the door panel and strengthen the area where the mirror mounts too.You will need them if you install the newer 2nd Gen tow mirrors.

I have a set on my 98 that I am taking off to replace with ****'s that I would sell. They also have the rear mounting brackets to go along with them.

Since my current mirrors are power, how do I go about taking the old ones off and then how are the new ones bolted in?
