Default Killer Dowl Pin

Hey looking for some help on figureing out if this sounds like its the kdp. So went to start my truck one morning and was in the process of holding its Idole at 1000 rpms and all of yhe sudden I hurd a loud metal slam and grinding after so I shut it down and checked all valve and checked fuel pump and neather showed any problemsthen checked oil and did not find any big chuncks of metal but plan to pole pan and inspect further.

look at the side cover in between waterpump and fan. usually spits it out there. won't see much in the way of oil since you shut it right down. i would start there. i would pull front cover before pulling pan to see if dowel pin is still in place. check all inside cover bolts as they can come out as well.

. I wouldnt start it again till you pull the front cover to check. that can get very very bad. hopefully if it was the KDP it do much damage since you shut it down. good luck

could have snapped trans shaft, broke flywheel, loose converter. water pump. You should pull that cover and tab that baby at any rate.

Thanks I'm planning on pulling the cover tonight and checking out hope that it did not cause much damage. Also would this cause a loud ticking that would run with the rpms this started one week before this happened and caused me to adjust valves and check how the GSK springs that I installed were and all was fine but tick continued and seemed to be more noticable after heated up

tick could be from the stock lift pump if its the stock one. its a common noise to hear from them not necessarily a problem though
