Yes, a smaller s300 would be your best bet. Just make sure it dosnt have a huge exhaust housing.

Dan...
You will want something in the 62mm variant for a top charger.Like a 62/65/14-62/71/14 cast or 13 stainless. One of our guys tested a 62/71/14(its borrowed)over his HT60 and loves it and does not want to go back to his HX35/40 hybrid.Another charger you could consider is the new Engineered Diesel 62/68 with either a stainless steel or cast exhaust housing........Andy

P.S.-The reason you have the wrong housing on the Garrett is they do not have a larger one for that size charger.

What do you want of these turbos? Fast spool or top end? If you were thinking about a gt35 I would say to go with a standard s300g

cool, the tried and true 40 over a 3b. As long as you don't work the 40 too hard you will like that combo

You better have the cover pinned on that HX40 of too much pressure will blow the cover off.I have seen it happen way to many times and hate to se it happen to you.

I seen Jet Pilot go well into the high 700's on fuel alone with his 01 p-pump conversion way back in 03 and well into the high 900's on spray. The 40/HT3B combo is a proven one as long as you take precautions up front to ensure the longevity of the 40.
