Default micro pump?

i have a 95 12v and sometimes on a cold morning i start it and let it build oil pressure and then when i go to back out it dies. but if i let it run for at least 60 seconds it doesn't die. so i used to have several 80s model ford 6.9s that i had micro pumps on to keep good fuel pressure on. i was wondering if i put one of these micro pumps in the fuel line some where to get a few more lbs of fuel pressure would it help, hurt or neither???

what is your idle set at? if the idle is a tad to low and you drop it in reverse before its completly warmed up and running at the right idle speed it will die. check that out

Very likely if you bump your idle the problem will go away:

Heres a how-to: Ram Diesel Problems

You could also install a fuel pressure guage.

How much psi do they make? The P-7100 needs a lot of pressure. 25 psi at idle and up to 35-37 psi at WOT, iirc.
