ive got a 95 3/4 ton 4x4 auto,did the fuel plate star wheel and afc housing. ive read about half of the post on 12 valves but still dodnt fully understand all of it.what should i do to tune my truck not ness.to get mor hp.but to make it run better.it just seems like it lacks the power it should have.and is there any way to bypass that dadgum tps. thanks jp

oh yeah one more thing would a 99 1 ton with 278000 mi.no blowby, shuts down good,pretty tight and strong truck be worth 8000

 

The 99 is not worth 8k especially if it has a 53 block.

 

tune it to where it runs good and has good acceleration

 

Basically there is a arm in the pump the travels the profile of the plate and tells it how much to fuel, the AFC is for tuning fuel to boost, basically telling it to fuel according to boost pressure. And about the TPS, no there is no way to bypass it, I've replaced mine a few times, best thing to do with them is go buy one somewhere it has a warranty! A trick i did with my tps was i took my bad one off and kept it, then bought a new one. A few months down the road i took the bad one i kept back to the store and got another one, that way i had 2 working tps.
