I was runnig plateless for 10k miles and everyone told me it was not good so i ground my stock plate to a #0 and put it back in. It came back out the next day. It felt like i lost alot of HP. So now im running plateless again and taking my chances. It runs alot better. All of my buddies with 12 valves run plateless and would have it no other way.

I've said it before I'll say it now running plateless does not hurt anything in your pump.

thats the only thing mines lost when i went plateless. i used to be able to pull to about 108mph but now i can only pull to about 104, its like without the plate the governor actually kicks in like it should. but all the other gains are more than worth the 4mph lost off the top end. but a governor spring kit will fix that.

but as for the 50 to 104 it pulls harder than it did in 3rd before the plate was yanked
