now now you boys should play nice ha. Its still up in the air on what exactly is going in. Thats why I am wanting options. like I said there is the Cummins CR and 4bt options and then almost all powerstroke options(7.3, 6.0, 6.4 and maybe if it comes out with some good options the 6.7 scorpion). ex the 6.0 thats another truck to build hopefully.

Why not a duramax? You can make awesome power without a how lot of nonsense.

Check out that site, I'm a member there too. TONS of 4BT info, plus other small diesels.
It really comes down to what you want to do with the truck. I'm putting a 4BTA into my '81 RAM 2wd, and looking mostly for mpg's. I'm shooting for 30+!!

well like I said I want it to be better than it is now on mpg which isnt hard for any diesel to do even if it has all the emissions crap on it. I want to race some, dyno, and daily drive.

I want it to be pretty quick. It will probably be a shortened frame from whatever truck the engine comes from.

I decided to keep my 95 Bronco with a 351 but I want to build another 94-96 Bronco with a diesel obviously but now I think the 4bt is probably out of the question unless the frame is moderately similar. The reason I say that is the only thing I can think that had 4bts is buses, bread trucks, and some other larger delivery trucks and those frames are probably too large just to shorten.

The reason we picked a dirty... they make awesome power.

You know they put 4bs in case skid loaders and backhoes right? You could always make a 400 horse skid loader I'm sure you would get points for originality.

ha that would be pretty awesome to have a 400hp skid ha someone should do that...thats not me ha.

and the dmax in a Ford is pretty original but that just seems I dont know just wrong.

I think I have decided on a 6.4L from a new Ford to be original and still keep her all Ford. And I am making this a separate build from the gasser that I own now. Twin broncos one with a diesel and the other with a small block-both straight piped!

oh and I decided to keep my Ford Bronco and just rebuild the 351, tranny, and rear end. Im still a sucker for the sound of a straight piped gasser too

well the good things with dirty's chokes and cummins' is that they arent mad by dodge for or chebby so its not really sacreligious to put them on anything. but i am gonna find it hard to stray to far from cummins.
