Default Twin turbo housings

i have twin turbos
a holset 35/40 hybrid with the stocker 12cm housing
and a garret ht3b with the monster 32cm housing

the 12cm is to small with alot of restriction causing high egts
the 32cm is to big causing slow spool up.
im think the 14cm geted housing for the hybrid?
and the 26cm"quick-spooling" housing for the ht3b.
what do you guys all think?
thanks!

The 12 cm housing will do if it's worked over a bunch. The wastegate needs to be drilled as big as the flapper will cover and drilled threw the divider so both sides will flow. This lack of flow and the big housing on the 3b probably makes the big turbo doing nothing. I Had one with an external wastegate on the hx and a 22 cm housing on the 3b, it worked like a charm and the 3b would be making 3 lbs. of boost when total boost was 10. Get them right and you'll like them.

I would try,if you can do it yourself it won't cost anything. Get a 26cm housing for the 3b, that's what I'm running right now and it works real good.

The problem with buying a gated 14cm exhaust housing will be the cost. They really are very expensive and for what you will pay for one of those you could almost buy a new 62mm S300 variant with the good gates.

As for the HT3B...
As stated the 26cm would be the best choice but a external gate and a 22cm would be ok also and it would depend on availability of the exhaust housings and cost.

Myself...
I would have never put a HX35 based charger on the top of a set of twins if your going to run any amount of added fueling. The reason being that once they get to the 600hp mark they are done and not efficent anymore and to try and push them any harder is asking for issues.Thats just my opinion and what I have seen with some of the twins trucks I help with.

We have a guy in our club that runs a twin setup somewhat like you have. Its a HX35/40/14 over a HT60 with a 22cm open throat exhaust housing. The truck spools very quickly, makes about 600 on fuel and 630 on water meth but his exhaust temps are really high, even with the water meth. His top charger has the dual gated 14cm housing and has been worked for flow and he will even tell you he has about got all he can out of his chargers due to the top one.

When we were working on another friends EEP built twinned 12v truck way back in early 02 he ran a HX35/40 with a 18cm housing over a PDR Modified HT3B.That truck was a absolute missle to drive and won many pulls here in PA but only ever made 557hp on the dyno.It was externally gated on the top charger to relieve the drive pressure and at times it would blow the external gate apart while pulling due to the pressure.

I would probably external gate the top charger to relieve the drive pressure some for now if you do not want to buy a newer top charger. Then begin looking for a different top charger than what your running........Andy

P.S.-I know a guy who has a HT3B/22cm quickspool thats new for sale.

maby it would smarter to buy a 16cm non gated housing for the top charger, and get an external wastegate. mine is a 35/40 hybrid buy the way. not a stock 35. i think the 16cm and an external gate would be a better route. where can i get cheap wastegates?
and how much for that 22cm quickspool housing?? is 22 a tad small?
