Default HTT 62/71-13 SS

I got to looking at the HTT site and like what I see with this turbo. I was planning on running a set of compounds with my H1C and an S400 but dont know just yet. Has anyone run this charger or a similar charger? Thoughts on this?

Have you towed with it? How hot does it?

I would think that it would be pretty managable while towing. If your towing really heavy you might want to kick it down to a 62/68/13

I have heard that the 68 wheel surges some in the lower rpm range. What is surging? I am planning on running a 5x.014 injector with this charger.

i also have the 62/71/14 and its the best turbo ive owned yet, i tow 20k constantly with my truck for work the turbo keeps cool but having the 5 speed helps controling the heat on grades

I have towed with it, but never that much weight, under 10,000 lbs but it never got close to hot while towing with my 5 speed.

I can hit 1600 degrees with it when i get into it in 5th gear but that is well past 100 mph and if i just stay at 100 the temp goes back down to normal

yeah, i'm looking at the 62 71 14, but someone on cummins forum said the 62 68 moves the same amount of air, but spools faster, so idk what i'm gonna go with yet, waiting on answers.

they say it moves more air, but im more worried about the egt's though, i want to keep my engine cool and tonypipefitter has said that his can get hot with his 5x.012 injectors and that turbo
