i have the same setup as you and i have noticed the same thing, that it doesnt pull as hard as we would like to, i found out with these super phatshaft and 370 combos with the 191 dvs that 15-20psi pulles better than 25-30psi, i was pulling 14k the other day and noticed that 17psi was running better with cooler temps than 23psi

First lets start with this.....
You guys have been tuning for power and not towing, there is a difference,a HUGE difference. One can not expect a truck that has a max fuel tune to be able to tow your big trailers around without any expectancy of lag or temps. To gain in one area you will always loose in the other and with a 12v's timing be fixed there is no way to help light all the heavy fuel down low to make your truck tow like it runs unloaded.

a nv4500 it should pull better than any atuto
INCORRECT!....
A properly built automatic and a lock up switch will destroy a NV series tranny when it come to towing.By the time you get rowed though the box the automatic owner will have his load moving and leave you sitting wondering why you didn't build a automatic truck instead.
