that or water meth will get you there

I hope your head studded and have the head o-ringed to get to 500.

To run the timing needed to make that you will find that not being o-ringed and not having studs is a recipe for problems and alot of extra work.

Hp is not a cheap happening and we all call it "Cubic Money".It how much money you want to spend to get the needed cubes to make the power you want.....Andy

P.S.-Water Meth and no studs/o-rings=easily blown headgasket....

Yeah ask Oklahoma 6 speed about no studs and some water/meth

Dont forgeta turbo to get into the 5s

thats my problem:argh:i dont have money to get the head studed, talked to my mechanic today:rocking: he said i could advance timing to 18* but he said it would be cuttin it close,:humm:said its a lot added cylender pressure.

Hammer 08-04-2009 11:28 AM

18 degrees timing=head-gasket issue

At 16.5 degree you are pushing the envelope of safe.

No Money to the job correctly=Don't waste your time

All you will end up with is bigger problems and alot more incurred cost than you would have had you taken the time to do it correctly the first time.

My advice is stay happy with the 477 until you can do what you need to prevent bigger issues. However,I know its not my truck and you will do what you want anyway.

no buddy your rite :ok1:do it rite the first time, proably take the ac compressor off and run it with out the intake and fuel plate just to see what kind of numbers i make:humm:

If cash flow is an issue then 500hp is not the right goal in life. The more hp the more the upkeep on these trucks costs. All that extra hp wears parts out quick and it is a never ending turn around on new parts after that.
