Oh Young Wingless Grasshopper....
Track is Hagerstown and was smooth as a babies butt that day way back when.

Close on the car as it was a "Gambler" house car, except your thinking WoO and this was a USAC car.

The wheelman in the shot was one who feared no one,was small in frame, soft spoken in voice and yet was one os the most feared men to ever sit inside a USAC wingless sprint car.....

The driver......Is None other than...Rich Vogler
god dammit

USAC...1986........see I forget people seem to think non-wing sprint cars are cool, too.

No hooks yet, still haven't fired it. Have a few small things left. The lower hose is kicking my butt.

Logan is just the hillbilly version of Begle. Don't try too hard, it'll hurt.

Couldnt run the rearend setup i had planned, along with alot of other stuff that wasnt listed in the rules.......they was never actually listed, but they was "illegal" after i asked about them........so instead of having to deal with more of this later on after building the truck, im thinking about building something else.......im debating on a few things......

lifted show truck, 10 inches of custom long-arm lift built by a friend with a 3 inch body lift, axles geared low, 40 inches or so of tire on a nice set of aluminum wheels, custom paint done by a good friend.....

still driveable but not very practical, like most trucks in central florida, still cheaper than a pulling truck and can drive more places......

hardcore offroad truck, 8-10 inches of custom long-arm lift built by a friend with coilovers, cut as much of the fenders as possible, dovetail the bed sides, dovetail the nose, 12 inch wide steel beadlock wheels with some MT Claws turned backwards for rock crawling, possibly a rear 4 link with coilovers or soft leaf springs.....

still driveable but not very practical, like most trucks in central florida, still cheaper than a pulling truck and can drive more places......

monster truck, 4 link, 14 inch lift coil springs, 4.5 inch Tuff Country spring spacers, 3 inch body lift, SCS drop box or 2.5 ton case, 30.5x32 tires, hood stack, a few engine tweaks, 5 ton or planetary axles......

i can actually build this truck cheaper than i can a pulling truck plus i will take the front axle i just rebuilt and put it under my 93 Dually and make it 4x4.....so i see that as a big plus too.....

lowered 4wd drag truck.....

a drag strip 15 minutes from the house plus another diesel drag racer lives 3 minutes from my house.....and still cheaper than a pulling truck.....

tow truck, still convert it to the 37 spline Dana 80 F-Superduty 10x7.25 lug disk brake rear and the 60 front to the same lug pattern and put my western hauler bed from my 1st gen on it, some nice alcoa's and build it into a trailer puller with twins, Kelderman air suspension front and rear, and a few other cool things......

more useful and most likely more fun than a sled puller and if i chose too, i can still pull it in the Super Street/3.0 classes......and still probably cheaper than a sled puller....
