you need your truck timed. just put 4 k in mine, once it got to 2500+ it would pop like i had glass packs on my truck. timed it, works good

hhhhmmmmm I wonder why yours pops... Maybe we are on to something here

Who knows

I now need to see with the truck warm to see if it clears up or not and go from there. If anything I also need to get these springs done so I don't have to worry about the valves hitting while I am trying to get this figured out.

Well tom I will warm it up go for a drive and give it some revs and maybe I can make a video of it and see what I find out. Remember having a automatic I can't rev it out like the manuals to see if it will still miss

I agree I think you need to fix timing and check fuel pressure

ya cuz i got 4000gsk installed in my truck monday. and it actually lowered my idle almost 200 rpms down on its own. i have 17.5 timing. and i notice no problem with it missing. and i can rev it up as high as i want, so far i've only gone to 3300 but it gets hot.

Hmm, i got the 4gsk, it does not pop. i have the stock timming too. I am thinking that these trucks all react differnt, i just put the 3gsk in my buddies truck, it worked great and about 3 weeks later it started to act up, it will rev fine, then it will start climbing byitself, i don't know what the deal is but i do know it stopped once i set the idel to a lower thanb recomended postion, like 600 or something. These pumps are strange.
