if the local store gave you that price they are ripping you off.
advanced auto or auto zone has a direct lifetime replacement one for $180.
I ran the DT one and was real happy with it. but for a stock truck I think its too much.
I am not a fan of lukes link. I think it is a band aid.
if I had a stock 2nd gen I would put this on.
http://www.solidsteel.ca/Trackbar.htm
but you would have to buy a 3rd gen trac bar. which would be $180 plus the cost of the bracket. or you can keep replacing the stock crap or spen $350 for DT or Thurens trac bar.
I will never recomend a Lukes link.

Thuren Fab likely ha sthe best trackbar on the market:

Likely the most bang for the buck....and you can rebuild it on the truck.
The Solid Steel stuff is really good too. But, they still use a rubber type bushing and I really think its should be polyurethane.

The DT Profab is another good option:

I agree with GRI about the Lukes Link...dont waste your $$

Thurens is a nice trac bar but there are two things I do not like about his kit.
1 you have to weld the bracket on. which isn't feasible for some people and increases the cost of it
and you cant adjust it with both sides hooked up. which can be an issue when your by yourself.
Don makes great stuff

I have the Solid Steel 3rd gen adj. track bar conversion kit on my truck. Works pretty good, install took alil time to get everything centered back up.
But be warned if you have an early 94 like me there is no bolt on kit. The early 94's have a smaller stud where it mounts to the frame on the driver's side. To make any of the kits work you have to drill that hole out to accept a larger bolt.

I ran the solid steels steering stiffener and the craftsmanship was top notch.
I have seen the 3rd gen trac bar conversion and it was the same quality and everyone was happy with the results.
Thurens bar is also very nice but if you dont have a welder than you're SOL.
you cant go wrong with any of the 3 mentioned but if you're lifted the DT bar is my choice
if you're stock definitely the solid steel setup
