this is the first I heard of this . LOL
this is funny.

If I was going to spend $300 or more and not get a lifetime warranty I would just go with the soilid steel setup. for sure

You can use the post-2/94 track bars IF you drill out the mounting hole on the drivers side frame. I went thru this when I was pricing aftermarket track bars last year for my truck. All the good aftermarket ones are not available for the early 94s (Solid Steel, Thuren, etc.).

I ended up doing the Solid Steel 3rd gen adj. track bar conversion and used a smaller bolt so I didn't have to drill it out.

I have a snap on 1.5" taper bit that I am trying to sell.
I used it for my 1 ton chevy steering upgrade on my 98 ram.

I had to ream the knuckles so it would allow for the larger TREs
I got mine from Snap on for $63

but if you drill for the solid steel set up I dont believe it has to be tapered.

The kit comes with a tapered insert to fit the post 2/94 trucks.

Guess you would haveta find a similar tapered insert or get one machined. I didn't really worry bout it, just cinched it down really good. Since with the new Solid Steel mount ya have 3 bolts sharing the load one once did (steering box bolt, bolt thru the crossmember hole, and the old track bar mount bolt).
