For these motors to rev decent they need timing and a turbo setup that doesn't choke on the top end. It's the combination that makes it work.

Overflow valve is what holds your return line on the pump.

I completely forgot about the timing. It could be off. I had the stock turbo and stock timing (12.5*) on my 96 and like I said earlier I could pass 3K.

If you snap the accelerator pedal with your foot when in it is park or neutral you should be able to hit 3K with little effort. If you can't it could mean that your timing is off. If your timing is off you might as well bump it up to about 16* or so while your resetting it.

Here's a decent link to waht your overflow valve looks like and where it is.

i noticed today that the truck does a wird thing when you rev it up and then let it slowly come down to idel. what it does is close to 1200 rpm coming down from 3000 it will stumble, but its very fast and kinda strange, i never feel it when its in gear, and it never did it until i put the gsk in. anyone ever experiance that?. I think i am going to get one of thoes rack plugs and see if when i get the 100 plate it makes it rev up there. I still don't understand why i can get it to go to 3000 rpm out of over drive and i cant get it to do it in od? whats up with that?

My guess is not enough fuel and/or timing on your OD issue. As in you need a fuel pressure gauge to see how much yoou have. As for the stumble. I have no idea.
