it is a risk you have to take if you want to do it. some times you can have issues sometimes it will work fine.

 

I had issues with the drilling out the standard 1/2" washer method, but when I used the metric (no drilling), no problems.

 

The Governor assembly is a balanced rotating unit. If you were to use the washer method the two washer used has to weigh exactly the same. Best bet is to weigh each individually and machine (grind) til there the same weight.
