Not trying to steal his thread, but yes he got new lifters to go with the new cam. At least that's what he told me.

good next question ... HD pushrods? while your there, might as well much better than bending one

94cummins12v 02-18-2009 10:47 PM

nope hd push rods aint worth the money becasue they will still bend, stock ones will do just fine

I disagree with that ... but it is your truck so do what you want

i will do what i want, ive had multiple guys tell me that its a waste of money because they can still bend 3 months ago when i bent my push rods putting my new head on. if the supplyers say there a waste of money then thats a good enouph awnser for me

94 12valve 02-19-2009 11:00 AM

who's pushrods did you bend?

Cummins97 02-19-2009 07:15 PM

hmmm... my cam gear broke and almost all the valves hit the pistons and the stock rods were still straight.... Guess I just got lucky.

i bent the stock pushrod because it wasnt in the lifter completly in novermber when i replaced my head, when the owner of a diesel performance shop tells me that a hd pushrod is just as easy to bend as a stock pushrod im convinced it aint worth a dime

94 12valve 02-20-2009 03:25 PM

interesting, when I do my cam swap I'm still upgradeing my pushrods
