if your getting a new cam get a schied street performer itll bring down egts and give some more power well worth the money and not too expensive iirc

the engine is coming alot just waiting for cam ideas. the reason im not to thrilled about a upgraded cam is because of the price ive already spent way more on this than i have in my account

yea I know how the running outa money thing works I do it all the time lol but one thing that was nice bout the schied street performer is that its only a regrind so its not as bad

94cummins12v 02-16-2009 09:14 PM

i wouldnt put a regrind in my truck if my life depended on it, thats like running anything but synthetic in my truck, i just ended up buying a stock replacement cam for it since it has as much power as i want

If you would have got a different cam for it would that mean you have to have cut pistons to clear the valves then?

not that i know of ive never herd of it

I thought that any truck with a manual tranny already had the 60 lb springs so a jake brake could be added. Seems some after market springs go higher yet. Just my thoughts.

Not all aftermarket cams require fly cut pistons ... it just depends on how big you really want to go:c:
