Default Pennsacola Injectors

Just wanted to relay an experience I have had with my injectors, after spending some 2500.00 replacing all of my injectors, even though only one was bad, which is the smart thing to do as we know. After one day of the rebuilt injector usage, much to my dismaym number 5 went out. I called, they replaced, when the replacement came it had been packed so poorly that the tip had broken through the box and beaten through the plastic protector. I might also add that the box of original eight were equally poorly packed. I called they said, "it should be OK" , I asked if they were going to pay for the labor if it was not!? He shipped one overnight to replace. I paid my mechanic to replace another 400 dollars down the toilet. Took the truck after it is fixed and drove it for two days and a miss reappeared. I just came from the mechanic after running buzz, contribution, etc... guess what, three and eight are now bad. Sooo after almost three thousand dollars, (also replaced the IDM) I still have two bad injectors!
I called Pensacola, after a short disscusion, the best they will offer is, and I know the policy statement, they will upgrade me to a new set, IF, I send them another eight hundred dollars. So now I am in the preverbial catch 22... get a new set somewhere for 2 large, or suck it up and pay them another 8 bills and then after that is done, I get to pay the mechanic to do the dance all over again! On top of this, when I am explaining that there is a plethera of online review areas that I can visit and write about my bad experience, he quipped " I can help you do that!" Real cute huh?

The lesson learned here? First, let the mechanic do everything, including ordering the parts, that way he is on the hook if it goes bad. Second, use only new parts! Third, you guessed it, no pensacola injectors!
Maybe just a weird set of coincidence.... I doubt it.

Probably won't get to have this post on long but I just thought it was a rightous bust. First time shame on you...

Hope this helps someone!

mad Pensacola P7100 Answer

I can remember when i was looking on here for info on pensacola only because it doesnt seem that long ago. Now i get to answer my own guestion and i guess now some of yours. Ok here is my story on the p7100 pump i bought not so long ago from pensacola diesel!!!:banghead: Here it is as it goes i got the p7100(tuned pump) from them and installed it with there stage 1 injectors. After install truck barely started, looked at pump guess what it was leaking from plunger 1/delievery valve 1 on pump. After arguing with them that it is there pump and that if they even benchmark them for 8 hrs/even have a benchmark machine? That is a guestion i would like to know! I sent pump back which i paid shipping on that as well, which in turn they sent me another one back. Here it is as it goes again, i had A & L diesel shop install pump this time, which i had to pay for cause i have to work and didnt have the time to work on my truck which i use for work by the way(I had to rent a truck). A&L installs p7100 checks timing and says its all good. Only to find out in driving test that the pump slips on timing. A&L took pump off again to find out that the threads on the pump shaft are damaged and had to send pump out to a machine shop to fix the threads which i had to pay for on top of it as well, including A&L shop bill. Ok A&L get pump installed drive test and all seems fine. Hold on it only gets more interesting from here out. My truck had 156000 miles on it when the pump was finally replaced by A&L. Now i am at 176000 miles later, over a yrs worth more later cause i actually havent been driving it as much, now with a pump that probably isnt worth a core charge. Pump is basically grenaded with the governor springs hanging out the side right under the shut off seloniod. Good stuff:rof. Now after what should of costed me 930 bucks cost me over 2,000 bucks. Do the math do u think i made out on this deal? No lie true story i even have A&L' s invoice to prove to anyone who dare contest me this isnt true. Pump was on & off my truck 3 times just to get a so called working pump that probably isnt even worth a core return anymore. Thanks a lot pensacola crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still pinch myself hoping i can wake up from it all. I can agree with the biggest complaint is you talk to someone there technician, no one give you a straight answer. I was like most of you looking to save money and i m now spending more. Once i spend the money i dont have on a another new pump, pensacola injectors are getting throwin out as well. Thats how much i think of there product/service after all of this!!!!!!!!! If this didnt overwhelm me enough i forgot to tell you how long i had to wait to even get my 1st pump it took almost 2 months until i got it. Oh yes when i ordered it they said they werent buisy and after 2 weeks i called started asking where my p7100 pump is at they started saying that there swamped with orders. I was gonna leave that out but whats the point after all they done for me. I hope all that is considering going with them dont say i didnt tell u so ur riding with a pensacola bomb in your truck. Believe me its embarrasing to admit to this story, problem they caused me, and my work.

You get what you pay for, you're way better off to save the money up and get your stuff from a reputible shop that stands behind their products! II, DDP, ect. I know they cost more in the begining but it will end up costing you less in the end IMHO!

Just a heads up this place is just as bad- http://www.dieselcare.net/ . I bought a p7100 pump from them a couple years ago and it locked up after 5 min of idling. I called them up and got another pump and the one they sent me worked for about 5 miles and then started making the truck miss really bad. I got fed up thinking it was the engine severely messed up because it was missing so bad and sold the truck to a guy in Indiana who tore the whole engine down before he realized the pump was bad. Lesson learned, I'll only buy from reputable places even if it costs more.
