where can i buy a timing kit for 12 valve or how do u usually do it

Yes. I would check the timing. You will probably also want to pick up a barring tools (but you can turn it engine backwards using the alternator nut).

advanced timing shouldnt make the truck blow white un less the timings advanced to somthing ridiculous. bad injectors, a blown head gasket will make it poor white
