Default Death Wobble baby steps...

What should I replace first in my budgeted life to begin to fix the DW in my '97 4x4 Dually?

I was going to get the Steering stabilizer and thought that would fix it. But what should I do first?

This is a secondary vehicle. My primary is an '03 4dr 4x4 CTD.

This is the pot hole DW... and sometimes around 70+mph.

Death Wobble can be caused by various front end components or a combination of them. Its best to take a look at the entire front end to see what needs replacing. I think the balljoints are a good place to start.

So do I go with Moog - Mevotech - Lemforder? Does it matter?

I like the steering stabilizer as well. I think I will try the process of elimination in order of most affordable.

I will eventually rework the complete front end and hope to have the 3rd Gen steering when I am done. But until I work this truck some I have to take these affordable "baby steps" to getting it done.

Below are photos of what I have and what I would like it to become...

From my irregular tire wear - I would guess that is going to be at least one of my problems.

My steering wheel seems to be pointing at about 10 to 11o'clock but not a real hard pull. I need to replace all shocks as a standard PM. A lot happened to this truck when I had others driving it. I am slowly getting it babied back up. I sewed the Drivers seat back up this evening and have it clean as a whistle now. I flew from Houston to Denver to get this truck and I love my 12v - my '03 4dr is the family truck. There is just something about a 12v that is addicting...
