I have a 5 speed in my truck now and want to swap in an automatic. I was wondering what tranny to go with. I was thinking an Allison but was wondering what was involved and what you guys recommend? thanks in advance.

 

the easiest and cheapest would be a 47RH

 

You can swap it for my Auto .. willing to trade ....

 

47RH. Simple install and you can use toggles to initiate TC lockup and O/D. Just make sure you get it built to handle your truck if its not stock. good luck.

 

even built, I don't recommend a 47rh.

a transmission controller running a 5r110 would be pretty damn cool.

 

my Rh does just fine and i beat the living **** out of it, i have 325/65r18 tires on my truck and im always getting it sideways, chirping them out of lights or hauling 10k+, i would go with a triple disk tc but then you have to buy the billet input shaft-i learned the hard way and used the stock shaft and i snapped it putting it into lock up while still in 2nd and it took out my TC along with my pump and flex plate
