injectors and turbo time
so im looking to upgrade my injectors and turbo. i tow minimally my hopes are to hit around 500rwhp. i have a 5spd gauges 4gsk, no fuel plate, blocked off wastegate, and hopefully soon 16.5 timing and 60lb valve springs.
i was leaning towards a set of dap 5x6 injectors and a super b or killer b. but i am unsure if im heading in the right direction

ive never heard of 5x6 injectors. those would be about twice as small as your stockers. ide recommend a set of 5x12's and a killer B. it will surge more than the super B but can make more power. the special will be noticeably more laggy over the other two chargers. and in the mean time dont be a tool, unplug your wastegate.

i mean like head porting and a camshaft. those are very large injectors for a truck that has mere bolt on performance mods. its still an engine, air in air out. not fuel dumped in and raw fuel belched out. you cant throw a 1050 demon on a stock small block chevy and expect it to run worth a CRAP can ya? same goes for a diesel you flood it out and it will run like hell. why attempt to run an injector that can support well over 700hp into a truck that you only want to get into the high 400 to low 500 hp range. it is a totally mis matched part for your application and you set-up will suffer.

I run 5x18s on my 95 with no issues, but it's only a 160hp pump truck. They haze a little at idle in gear, but are otherwise fine to street drive. I'd do the 5x16s with the killer B and about 20 deg of timing if you can handle it starting a bit hard. I gained 50rwhp by going from 5x12s to 5x18s, but they do smoke more. I'd go with 024's on the DV's.

I like the 7mm much more these days after trying them. I just feel for a towing or street injector a 5x14 or 5x12 has much better manners and egt control. We've got a customer with 215 pump that the 5x18s are just not streetable. How's life after diesel power?
