Default 98 cummins questions

Just bought my first cummins that I have wanted for years. I want to do some performance mods but have some questions. I know that these autos are known for going out as soon as a guy starts adding power. With the trans setup I have am I going to need to worry about: having a 0 plate or no plate, Pushing afc forward, tuning afc etc, messing with the turbo to get 30-35 psi boost etc. Not looking for 700 horse just yet but would like some more. Also am I going to be ok running this much boost with stock airbox and filter? I will be adding pyro, trans temp, and boost gauge at the same time as these mods as well, what temps are getting too high for pyro and trans? Apologies if these seem dumb, but first cummins and dont want to be putting it in the shop right away.

A 0 plate is pushing the stock tc on the Trans. It may hold it for a lil while, but I wouldn't trust it to long. Pyro, 1300+ for any sustained amount of time is to much. Spikes to 14-1600 is ok, but don't hold it there. Trans high is 210+. Boost, 45+

Sorry I have the trans mods in the sig line, Even with triple disk converter on the rebuilt trans I should worried? Trans was just rebuilt, mods done to it are in my sig line. Thanks

Basically should I be worried about my trans with those power mods, and is it not good to run that much boost through stock intake?

You can run all the boost you want through the stock intake. 45-50+ psi is the ma the hg can hold with out studs.
