I had my 2006 dodge 3500, cummins engine re-built, installed re-builted injectors, new injector tubes. Can't get the truck to start. I have fuel going to return, no fuel rail pressure. All tubes and injectors have been checked and re-checked. THINGS I HAVE DONE: had checked with scanner- not showing any codes, calls for 4800 lbs of pressure it has 49# of fuel pressure. removed new-rebuilt injectors and took to another shop and had tested. checked out good. got another set of injectors today and put in...still won't start! fuel is still going to return. checked pop-off valve, replaced crank sensor, What else can cause fuel to go to return.

 

swap the rail pressure relif valve and see if it makes a difference

 

I took the line off of the relief valve and no fuel coming through it. Is this what you mean?

 

good enough yes thats what i was getting at was a bad fprf

 

Replaced pump and it started. The pump was working when I removed motor...don't know why it didn't work after I installed new re-built motor.

 

i bet it was just the FCA
