I thought only Cali emissions trucks came with cats that early.

ya i guess that is a good thing now that you mentioned that i dont remember if my truck had a cat on it or not i put the stacks on in october and my memory is ST

Mag...

Yours is 4" from the turbo all the way back...cut the cat, throw it away and replace it with the 4" pipe. Then do the same to the muffler, or at least replace the muffler with an AFE or Donaldson or similar...

As long as you arent welding, then no to unhooking the batteries but if you are going to weld then unhook BOTH batteries to protect the ECM...

Call or pm me if you need any more info, I have done all of mine this way....Dont know how often you get to the Hat, but there is a great shop here that will do it quite cheap...

ya deffinatly disconest if your welding i never thought about that i thought he would have used exhaust clamps

Thanks horn I will have to use the torch to take the cat out, but I'm hoping that I can use clamps to put the pipe on, maybe I'll do a few spot welds.

Yeah, unhook your batteries then...better safe than sorry.
