NEW CLUTCH!!! If you have the money, go ahead and put a new one on. I put a Smarty on last fall and tried to hold off as long as I could. Because of this, I couldn't turn the Smarty up past the half way mark and I am now in the market for new clutch. Mine is wore the hell out. You can do like me if you don't have the money but, I would suggest to go ahead and do it if you can. You will have to change it out eventually.

Will that clutch hold 1000tq+? A diesel making 500hp is going to make well over 900 torque.

If you want to advertise here you need to become a paid sponser.

What's the plate load? What material is the clutch disc?

Hello Luke, we will definitely be contacting the administrators to request the information on becoming a paying Sponsor of Diesel Bombers.
Regarding the product, the plate load on our HD Pressure Plate is over 3400LB. The friction material on the Stage 3 CompSeries is a Woven Steel Back Organic compound, centered on racing dual spring disc, which is rated to a 500HP / 900LB.Torque. If you expect to reach the 400+, low 500HP then I would recommend upgrading to a Stage 4 DominatorSeries, of course this all depends on the usage of the truck. The Stage 4 has the same HD Pressure Plate but with a Full Ceramic friction material clutch disc.!
Thanks! Good Luck!
