Vibrating Front End
My 2005 Dodge 2500 is making a vibration noise in the front end somewhere. It only does it when i take off from a stop, let the rpms drop low in a high gear and stomp on it, or when im braking. This problem is driving me crazy so any ideas will help.
Miles? any suspension mods? if so what
I'd look at the front pinion bearings first. best way I've found is to put all 4 corners on jack stands... drop it in gear and give a walk around.
then the usual balljoints, axle u-joints, and drive shaft joints and cv. with it off and on the jackstands pry around on everything and see if anything has excessive play.
Short of that it's really hard to think it's coming from the front end.

Id jack up your truck enough to be able to but a pice of wood to push on your side wall and look and feel for movement, if they wiglle excessivly you wheel bearing need to be replaced. You can also spin your tires and listen for any unusuall noises...
Gotta love that stuff. Last one I diagnosed for a funny sound was a new unit bearing (100miles) that was garbage. I think he didn't seat the stub shaft enough and the bearing began to seperate... then he tightened it... then took it to me and didn't want me to know. Sometimes new parts are just junk so you might want to look it all over again.
