I'm using an autometer 0-60 plumbed in to a boost bolt. I can hold 35 on the lower tunes, but above level 3 (auto trans needs parts before I can step up full time) it will peg to 35-37 then fall out completely. Falls to low 20s like wastegate opens early??

That sounds right. The lower tunes allow the WG controller to function as designed and minutely adjust boost on its preset program so you see a little more than stock steady.

However when you massively over run the WG circuits set point it freaks out and opens the WG wide and boost dives. Probably part of it is the extra fueling is not letting the WG close as fast as possible when it does open and you get a massive drop.

Bet if you added a BF it would jump over 40 psi on the higher tunes and hold.

How long do you think the stock turbo would last at those levels? Unfortunately I need trans parts before I can think about getting serious on that end!

Probably not long. The turbo is decent but once you start pushing 40 psi or better constantly it is in danger of going boom. One thing that will seriously shorten turbo life is dumping the throttle at high boost. Guaranteed to shorten turbo MTBF.

That's what I was thinking. Since its my daily driver and gets about 300-400 miles a week I'll have to hold off. Thanks for the education! Have a good weekend!

Thanks for the input guys. I will take the truck for a spin today and watch more closely as well as upload the tune from the smarty site. I was running TNT before on SW4, with the trans slipping that badly as well, may want to dial in back.... I believe my gauge is analog. I assume that means a physical needle or is there more to it?
