Im looking at buying this truck, but have no knowledge of cummins, I always had a powerstroke

My question is, why is the intake elbow black and yellowish like this? I havent seen this on any other truck.

Is this something I should stay away from or am i just being paranoid?

looks like someone just painted it. Dunno what else it would be or why they would've painted it

 

^^ Its different painted like that. Its just the stock horn just painted.
