Sorry, late to the party as usual.

I've been looking at the Dodge Mega Cab 4x4 diesel, and have been kind of wondering what it might do in the fuel economy dept. with a lift and tires.
Some of you have given me some idea. Thank you
Then again, I'm not really looking at it for economy (I've got an econo-box for that ).

Thanks for all the good info here.

Now this:

And I'm sorry you feel that way.
And NO, you can't, and NO, it DOESN'T.
If you beleive it does, then you're the one in a fantasy land.

What serving your country does do, whether you're "shot at" or not, is give your the "right" to be PROUD!
It also comes with a boatload of bene's that we could discuss in another thread.
Other than that, it comes with no other "special privileges."
Remember, there's no draft. We all volunteered

As for the forum, this is a privately held entity. Quite frankly, "freedoms" only exist here because the ownership and moderators allow them to.
I've been on some that were so pussified, that saying "pussified"
would get you time off
This place is a piece of cake, just follow the rules.

Got out after I couldn't run anymore. Damn knees.
Sorry about your knees.
Mine remind me of all the abuse Uncle Sam's Confused Group "allowed" me to give them over the years, along with other damages I've done on my own ().)

Hope you get them taken care of.

Amen!
You don't even have to "go to war" to get shot at on a regular basis
Ask me how I know?

Guess you haven't been around forums all that long have you?
Thinking like that is not generally good for longevity, and that's anywhere in life, not just forums.

Im not sure which rear end my truck has. The stealership said they think it has 3.73's with a limited slip diff. But they lied a lot so who really knows.
Easy way to tell.
Jack up the rear and mark the rim if it's standard size (not the tire) or the center hub, and the driveshaft to carrier housing.

Note how many times the driveshaft rotates when the rim/hub has made one revolution.
If it's gone around a little over three (3) times, you've looking at a 3.73.
follow the rotations and know what R & P's are available for your rig, and you'll know for sure what you have

Hope that helps a little.

Im runnin' 35's right now but I havent really had a chance to do much driving. The fuel economy numbers were when I had the 33's on it. I need to do actually fuel economy instead of trusting the trip computer
True, but remember, you're odometer reading is going to be off as well. That will effect your calculations.
You'll have to compensate for the error.

i got a calculated 24mpg (with a leaky ve, parts on their way to get it fixed) on my last tank, 1500 stall full race converter, reverse pattern manual vb, ve with no idle or lever stop screw and the full power screw set to its lowest setting so it still has good oil pressure. fuel pin, star wheel all the way down, intercooled afc spring, smoke screw 4.5 turns down. gov spring, 4,10 gears locked front and rear, 37" tires, custom exhaust/intake,

My 98 gets about 18 mpg with all the ranch driving andn highway, when I make a trip I get around 21 MPG, and last Time I towed I got 13MPG with 10K My mods are in my signature. The only time I got below 10mpg was when I had my truck run at High Idle for 3 hours... Went and chased cows and didnt expect it to tack so long. I also dont go past 65 when Im tryin to get good milage, because I did that on on I25 from gallup to albaqurque and it tanked to proably 16 mpg.
