My uncle just bought a 2007 Dodge 3500 with the cummins and six speed manual. He found a motor out of a 2005. The engine family number is 6CEXH0359BAD ont he one we took out, the replacement one we found has a family number of 4CEXH0359BAD. Will this motor work? What would we need to change if anything?

Plug and play! It is a 5.9 right?! If so your good to go! If it's an early 03- 04 then you would have issues with the harness.

 

Well we got the motor in and it fired right up. THanks to everyone for the help. Now we just need to get the clutch problem fixed. LOL. Pretty sure it's the slave cylinder.
