I had banks, edge, and smarty jr. DO NOT go with banks they are junk imho!!! my 05 melted down a piston due to the banks, my edge was awesome but when towing i noticed some high egt's but the gauges were nice, i now run a smarty and have never had problem yet and i tow everyday and its always a pretty good load. My vote goes for the smarty jr its good power and fairly safe for what u describe you are going to be doing

The smarty is what I plan on getting as soon as I get all the ball joints and u joints replaced in the frontend. Thanks for the advice on the banks.

No problem. i just had some really bad experiences with the banks junk and for the power gains they claim" on paper" and all their expensive ads imho i didnt really noticed much of a gain with it on and i also heard that it raises rail pressure really high so thats why i was haveing so many problems and then eventually meltdown. But i had the jr on my 06 ( 176,000)and my dads 04.5 ( 186,000 on it) and 06 ( 163,000 on it)both have it and we have been problem free for the most part( knock on wood)

i always think an egt gauge is a must and if you have an auto its nice to get one of those too. With my jr i saw about 1.5 increase if i was really good to her.

My truck has a stick but I will probably look into egt and boost gauges when I get the smarty
