Default 2005 cummings accleration prolbem

I have a 2005 dodge cummings 5.9L. when i try to accelerate the truck is slow to take off. It is like it has to spool up before it takes off. Any suggestions on what this problem could be.

Brandon Ray. I just read your post and it sounds like it could be a possibility of two things. Thing one, you may have an exhaust leak between the drive fan on the turbo and the head, ie., a cracked exhaust manifold or just loose or missing bolts or nuts on the turbo or the manifold. Thing two, an air leak on the pressurized side of the turbo, between the charger and the head. Do you have any gauges? This would be a good way to see if your manifold air pressure is normal.
