Default 183000 Miles-Motor Oil

I've got an 06 5.9 with a little over 183k miles. Any suggestions for a good motor oil you have had good experience with? Truck is also bone stock.

I've been using Rotella in mine with no problems. Sams club has a 55 gal drum that I am thinking of buying next with how much I drive.

Rotella 15w-40 os what I used to run and changed the oil every 3k. I now run Valvoline synthetic 5w-40 and change it every 5k. The only reason I am running synthetic is that i got 13 5 gallon buckets and about 1/2 price. No matter what oil you run just make sure it is okay to run in diesels cause they make alot of soot in the oil and most oils cant handle all that soot.

Where do you get the synthetic? I'm due to buy a bunch of oil here soon.

Got it about 3 years ago from an oil salesman that stopped by a friends shop and needed to get it gone before he went back to the warehouse. Dont know why and didnt ask any questions. Just paid the man for it and put it in the back of the truck.

I use AMS oil. its kinda expensive at first but you dont have to change it near as often and most dealers will garantee(sp) it to last.
