Default turbo- code..is it serious?

Last week check engine light came on,had the local diesel guy scan it and the code for turbo wastegate eror came on. We cleared the code and now it came back on. What is causing this? Can't find broken or loose wires to the wastgate solonoid. Its a stock turbo and I've been really easy on the boosts lately. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help

Can you hear the wastegate opening or have any other problems while driving? Did you check the map sensor connections?

We checked. The wiring connections. Found no problems that I could see. Whenthe truck is on stock settings I can hit like 28 psi boost. When the edge juice is on stage 5 I've been able to hit like 48 psi.

Maybe try taking the edge off, reset the comp and run it for a while. I think mine @ stock is about the same, but I have only hit high 30s to low 40s with the smarty. IMO if there are no problems and your not losing fuel economy don't worry about it. All it is going to do is cost you money. Just make sure you watch that your boost levels don't go too high. I think its 60psi for the stock head studs.
