I have a 03 CTD that will not start hot or cold. The only way it will start is with a little starting fluid which I know is bad but needed to drive. The truck runs great once it is started but will not restart when shut-off. It also keeps blowing the Fuel Heater Fuse like I have a short somewhere or something. Any ideas????

 

sounds like injector or fuel pump problem

 

i would say injectors because my o3 was the same no start hot or cold .used starting fluid and it ran good when i got it started it had 3 bad injectors

 

i have an 03 single wheel 1 ton that wouldnt start changed pump in tank with no luck took it to dealership come to find out there wee 2 wires in my ecm that were frayed they fixed those and those two wires were also overloading my starter so i replaced that to and it starts better than it ever has i hope this helps.
