Servicing an 06 auto tranny & rearend ????'s
I am wanting to service out my auto tranny that has 128,xxx miles. Any suggestions/tips or anything?
I just got this truck at 123k miles and don't know if it's ever been done so I want to take care of it.
Seen genos had a filter for it I think....what's the right # for the better filter and what's best fluid? I was thinking royal purple?? And what kind of trouble can I expect from doing this??
Same ??'s for rearend.....which fluid and how troublesome for a shadetree know-It-all-not-so-much!!!!!!
I can be good with the wrenches and paying attention so long as I know where I am going with it all!!
Again....thanks in advance fellas!!!

First off, the dealer is the only place you can get the filter. ATF+4 is what's recommended, so stick with it. Most parts stores carry it for about $4.50 a quart compared to the $9.00 a quart at the dealer. Now the diff's, 75W-90 for light to moderate service, 75W-150 for heavy to severe service. Royal Purple is a really good brand, and Napa or Oreilly carries them. May as well do the t-case as well, bout 3 qts of ATF+4.
