CR or not...? NOOB ALERT!
So my title and registration say my 2500 is a 2004. The (24V) engine has a steel external injector line running to each cylinder. Doesn't look like a common rail setup to me...
Purchased new in August of 04. It's a "contractors special" (stripped) with a 6spd. Supposedly just hit the lot when I bought it.
As I posted in my intro, I love the truck but diesels aren't my "thing"...yet.
Any ideas what I've got here? Thanks.

Also if you have a black plastic cover on top of your valve cover withe two plastic breather tubes coming out of it you have a common rail. The early 24 valve non common rail trucks did not have a plastic cover

j/k, glad you got the answer you were looking for.
He left the other 2 in the truck so he cn still drive it! Better fuel mileage duh....
