Default Throttle Sticking

when I rev the truck in park, sometimes it just keeps reving high on its own. Sometimes it is at the redline and won't go back down till you hit the pedal. Once my dad was driving it and I was flipping through the power setting on bullydog. I told hit to hit it and it stuck all the way down while we were coming to the end of a road!!! The brakes didn't do much at 60 with it in extreme. It was redlined and we had to throw it in neutral and cut the truck off. I'm guessing that was not real good for it!!! Anyone ever had a similar problem??? Could it be the throttle position sensor? Does it even have that since it is an electronic throttle? Truck is possesed...

If you talk to your dealer the APPS is what you would be reffering to as a TPS the other possibility is the EFCA electronic fuel control actuator. but there are a lot of other stupid things that can make it act like a hyper kid
