Beer Help

I just bought my 1st Diesel a Dodge sport 2500 4x4 and was wondering is there any cheap mods to gain a lil extra horsepower, I'll eventually be able to buy some mods just in a tight spot atm.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's gonna be like a snowball effect if you let it get away from ya. First thing, gauges, then a mild programmer, and maybe a full flow muffler. Get more than that, then it'll be a turbo, then air filter kit, intercooler, bigger exhaust, head studs, bigger programmer, a transmission and converter, and a big *** fuel pump. Pretty soon, your into it for $20,000. So stick to the first 3 mods, and you'll be happy.

It has a straight pipe(no cat no muffler)I think it's a 4 inch, already on it, it was on there when I bought it but that's it. What gauges do I need to get? I don't want abunch, and a programmer is a lil out o my price range at the moment, but I have thought about getting a cold air intake would that make it run a lil quicke and better until i can save my money and get a programmer? What would you suggest? Thank you alot 4 your help I really appreciate it.

You can swap the intake for, oh, let's say a Smarty JR. The stock intake flows plenty good enough and it filters the air way better.

x2, you won't really gain anything from the intake without a programmer. Get the programmer first.

Thanks alot everyone, I'll look into the programmer and gauges, is the smarty Jr. the best one for the price or personal prefrence? And I have a heavy foot so do you think I could cause any damage to the tranny by puttin the programmer on it? It's my daily driver so i dont wanna have to buy a new tranny for it .
