Sad Drivers side brakelight not working on Truck camper

Put my new (to me) camper on my truck today. All the lights work except the drivers side stop light. I took the truck to an RV shop and they checked the fuses and replaced the bulb. They checked all contacts in the 7 pin plug in the bumper and the 7 pin connector in the bed and found there was no power to the contacts for the driver side brake light. The tech finally said he didn't know and that they had two other Dodge trucks with similar problems that had to be sent to the dealer to fix. I've read in a forum topic about something like this someplace but don't remember where. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Where does the 7 pin in the bed tie into the taillight harness? thats probably where your problem is, if they used butt connectors, or wire tap connectors I would suspect them. solder and shrink tubes is the best way to go if you have to tie into an existing wire harness.

Took it to dealer after he told me I would probably need to flash the TIPM as it was a fairly common problem. $110. for labor . They tell me the TIPM is fine that I have a broken wire. Well, the idiot who owned the truck before me wired the 7 pin in bed connector with those crappy blue U-Haul wire connectors so thats where i'll start the hunt. Thanks Tireman9669 for your input here and I totally agree those connections should be soldered and sealed with heat shrink tubing . I'll let you know what we find.
